Frequently asked procurement questions
What information is needed for a stainless steel tube quotation?
Buyers should send material grade, outside diameter, wall thickness, length, quantity, drawings or samples, surface finish, application, inspection requirements, and target market or standard.
Can JZ manufacture stainless steel tubes according to buyer drawings?
Yes. Drawing-based quotation can be reviewed for welded tubes, formed tubes, profiled tubes, flared bends, exhaust parts, and other custom stainless tube components.
Which stainless steel grades are commonly reviewed?
Commonly reviewed grades include 304, 304L, 316L, 409L, 2205 duplex stainless steel, and customer-specified stainless grades. Final selection should follow application, medium, temperature, corrosion exposure, and buyer specification.
What is the difference between 304, 316L, and 2205 stainless steel tube?
304 is often used for general stainless applications, 316L is commonly reviewed where higher corrosion resistance or hygienic service is needed, and 2205 duplex stainless steel is considered for more demanding chloride or strength requirements.
Can surface finish be customized?
Surface finish can be discussed by product and project. Buyers should confirm whether the tube needs mill finish, polishing, electropolishing, bright finish, pickling, or special handling protection.
What quality checks are commonly discussed before shipment?
Common checks include dimensional review, weld appearance, surface condition, end preparation, pressure or eddy current testing where required, material documentation, packaging, and buyer-defined inspection points.
Can JZ supply automotive exhaust pipe and formed tube parts together?
Yes. Exhaust pipe, flared pipe bends, routed tube sections, and drawing-based formed tube components can be reviewed together when drawings, material grade, dimensions, quantity, and inspection needs are available.
How should overseas buyers prepare samples or drawings?
Drawings should show dimensions, units, material notes, wall thickness, bend data, end forms, fit points, surface finish, and critical tolerances. If drawings are unavailable, samples and marked photos can help quotation review.
