Why RFQ Detail Matters

Custom stainless steel tube quotation depends on the drawing, material, dimensions, forming route, finish, inspection scope, packaging, and order quantity. A short inquiry such as “quote stainless tube” is usually not enough for reliable pricing or feasibility review.

Drawing-based Components

If the part includes a bend, flare, reduction, hole, cut angle, or mating interface, mark the critical dimensions clearly. If the tube fits into another assembly, identify the fit points and any dimensions that should receive closer inspection.

For visible parts, note whether scratches, handling marks, or surface color differences are acceptable. Packaging should match surface expectations, especially for polished, sanitary, or decorative components.

What Not to Assume

Do not assume the supplier can select final grade, tolerance, finish, or certification without the application context. Also avoid asking for unspecified “full certificates” without listing the documents required by the project.
